If you are interested in being an exchange student at the University Grenoble Alpes (UGA), the first step is to contact the International Office at your home University. Make sure your home University has a formal exchange agreement with IUT2 Grenoble (Institut Universitaire de Technologie 2) or UGA. If your University doesn’t have an agreement, The International Office of your University can contact us to start a new cooperation.

As a second step, you should be nominated by your home University as an exchange student with destination IUT2 Grenoble. Students should be nominated through the portal https://international-nominations.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/ or by e-mail at sri@iut2.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr                                                                                                                                         

The nomination should include the following information: last and first name, date of birth, gender, e-mail address, duration of the exchange (semester or full year) and field of studies.                      


If you home university does not have an agreement with IUT2 or UGA, but you would like to spend one or two semesters at IUT2 as part of your degree, you can apply as individual student to one of our English-taught programs.

NOMINATION DEADLINE

  • Autumn semester and full year: from March 16th to April 30th
  • Spring  semester: from August 27th to September 30th

APPLICATION PROCESS 

After your home University has nominated you for an exchange stay at IUT2 Grenoble, you will receive an email with log in instructions to the online application form (through the MoveOn platform). The applications should be submitted by the following deadlines:

  • Autumn semester and full year: by May 30th 
  • Spring semester: by October 18th                                                                                                      

Before you start the application process, please read the instructions you will receive by email from our International Office and prepare all the documents necessary for your application:                                                                                                                                           

  1. Learning Agreement: you should use the Learning Agreement form of your home institution or you may optionally use IUT2’s Learning Agreement form (link to the form). Please fill in also the details of the contact person at IUT2**  
  2. Motivation letter  
  3. Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English or French (if you will follow courses in French)                                                                                                                                                                    
  4. Transcript of records     
  5. Proof of language proficiency in the language of study at IUT2
  6. A passport size photo of yourself

Additionally, together with the information about the online application form, we will send you an information sheet that you will need to fill out and return by e-mail to the IUT2 International Office. To fill out this sheet, you will need to provide:

  1. A copy of your passport or ID card
  2. For European students, a copy of your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
  3. Motivation letter  
  4. Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English or French (if you will follow courses in French)

You will be informed by e-mail about the status of your application. One you have been admitted, you will receive a ‘letter of acceptance’. After receiving the official letter, you can proceed to the next steps (visa, accommodation, health insurance, academic calendar, etc.) and prepare your stay in Grenoble.

LANGUAGE COURSE OFFER

To facilitate your integration in your new country, we recommend all new international students to take a complimentary course of French as a foreign language (20 hours). Information will be sent to all students by e-mail from the Centre Universitaire d’études françaises (CUEF).
